Recently, the beloved K-pop star, BoA, raised her fans’ concerns by posting a cryptic message on social media that seemed to hint at her retirement. Then, in a shocking turn of events, she wiped her Instagram account clean, deleting all her posts. Currently, her Instagram page simply displays a message, “No Posts Yet,” leaving her fans in a state of confusion and apprehension.

On August 6th, she posted a cryptic message on her Instagram story, which loosely translates to, “Can I retire after my contract ends?” However, the following day, she reassured her fans by stating, “My contract lasts until December 31, 2025! Until then, I will do my best as a singer! Don’t worry. My love, Jumping (BoA’s fandom name).”

This message stirred her fans who left comments of support on her Instagram posts like, “I hope BoA is always happy,” “We must have been struggling for reasons we don’t know, and it hurts. We will always support you no matter what,” and “Thank you for thinking about the fans and posting. Let’s make happy times until then.”

Recently, BoA has been vocal about the struggles she faced due to malicious comments. Earlier this year, she addressed some of the criticism she received about her appearance during her appearance on the tvN show ‘Please Marry My Husband.’ She clarified during an Instagram live broadcast that she has a habit of biting her lips, which might have led to them appearing fuller. She reassured her fans that her lips are perfectly fine.

In response to the ongoing criticism, she fired back at the haters on her Instagram story on July 29th. She wrote, “If I don’t take care of myself, I’m criticized for not doing so, and if I do, I’m criticized for doing so. When I lose weight, people tell me to gain some, and when I gain some, they call me a pig. I don’t know what you all look like, but don’t waste your life like this. Sorry, but I’m BoA.” This bold response reflects her resilience and determination to stand up to her critics, further solidifying her status as the Queen of K-pop.
